This fly is a pattern style rather than specific fly pattern. It has a funny name and also funny look, but don’t let that put you off. It was first created in England back in the 80’s and has been so successful that it has been ultimately outlawed there. It allows you to fish near the bottom of a body of water without hanging up on low lying weeds or rocks. This is achieved by using eyes made of foam.
